SUMMARY:Tell Them Tuesday\, 04/07/26
DESCRIPTION:This small but dedicated group of democracy-loving anti-Trumpers has been protesting on the streets of downtown Greenville every Tuesday since early 2017. Join them! If you don’t have a sign to wave\, there’ll probably be extras that you can borrow.Remember our main rule is to always BE NICE and try hard to not get in shouting matches with any opposing protesters. We might be loud (chants like “this is what democracy looks like” are common) but don’t trade insults. Let our relentless presence and signs be our force. \n\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT🚨 Keep an eye on this Facebook group for updates. Plans can change at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or political advisories.🚨 NO sticks on signs or flagpoles.🚨 Don’t get in the street or crisscross the street—pick a side and stay there and do not block pedestrians.🚨 Please obey any and all police requests.🚨 Never hesitate to call 911 if concerned. An officer will gladly come defuse a situation if necessary.

SUMMARY:Volunteer at Harvest Hope with IUSC and Together Greenville 04/27/26
DESCRIPTION:At Indivisible Upstate SC\, we believe civic engagement means more than advocacy. It is also about showing up for our neighbors in tangible ways. That’s why we’re joining with Together Greenville to volunteer at Harvest Hope Food Bank—South Carolina’s largest hunger‑relief organization. They provide millions of meals each year to families\, seniors\, and children facing food insecurity. \n\n\n\nWho: Volunteers from Together Greenville and Indivisible Upstate SC\, community members\, and anyone ready to lend a hand. \n\n\n\nWhat: Sorting donations\, packing food boxes\, and helping distribute meals with dignity and compassion. \n\n\n\nWhy: Because hunger is a systemic issue\, and addressing it requires both immediate relief and long‑term advocacy. By volunteering\, we live out our values of solidarity\, justice\, and care for community. \n\n\n\nAnd here’s the best part: we do it together. Volunteering with Together Greenville and Indivisible Upstate SC isn’t just meaningful—it’s fun. Working side by side with fellow members builds friendships\, strengthens our coalition\, and turns service into a shared experience of joy and connection. Every box packed and every meal distributed is lighter when we lift together. \n\n\n\nFor us\, this work is deeply personal. We know policy decisions affect whether families thrive or struggle. Volunteering at Harvest Hope bridges advocacy with action — meeting urgent needs today while continuing to fight for a more equitable tomorrow. \n\n\n\nJoin us in transforming compassion into impact. Together\, we can strengthen our community\, uplift our neighbors\, and prove that when we act collectively\, hope is never in short supply. \n\n\n\nFor more information on Harvest Hope\, visit their website: https://www.harvesthope.org/ \n\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT \n\n\n\n➡️ Recurring Dates: This is an ongoing effort that occurs every four weeks\, so save all the future dates! \n\n\n\n➡️ Registration: All volunteers must complete this registration form before arrival. \n\n\n\n➡️ Orientation Video: Please watch the short Harvest Hope training video (available at the registration link above) prior to your shift. It explains safety procedures and volunteer expectations. \n\n\n\n➡️ Parking: Onsite parking is available. As you enter the lot\, park to the LEFT SIDE near the fence. Do NOT join the car line for clients picking up food. \n\n\n\n➡️ Finding Our Group: Walk toward the front of the building; there are steps leading up to the volunteer and food bank entrance. We’ll will gather together before assignments begin in the volunteer area (entry to the left of the check in desk). \n\n\n\n➡️ Activities: Depending on the day\, volunteers may help sort donations\, pack boxes\, or assist with distribution. \n\n\n\n➡️ What to Wear: Comfortable\, closed‑toe shoes for standing and lifting. Wear layers of clothing (the building can be chilly). \n\n\n\n➡️ What to Bring: Positive energy and readiness to work as a team!
